PoemgMotherh by Kazuko Ohira
g mother h
the wind, the wind, the wind !
you will go around the world
wherever you see my child
please tell my child
I await and await
and get tired
yet,
my hope will never walk away
always
I am waiting

moon, moon, moon !
you walk so
for 365 days a year
you shall see everything clear
please teach my child
ggo home straighth
when she goes astray among
too many ways

wild geese, wild geese, wild geese !
in the northern country you are
returning to
you might see my child trembling
cold
please tell
I was looking for him

in the night of shining moon
playing the flute
I await my kid
in the night of raining
please show the way
of return with
sound of going in geta(wooden clogs)

swallow, swallow, swallow !
in the southern country where
you are from
my child is playing around and
forgets about returning home
as my kid is a wise boy
he lets her mind remind of me
well,
because southern country is warm
because southern country is filled with
rich rich flavor of flowers
getting absent-minded, my child may
forget returning home
if
you happen to see my child
please tell
I am waiting for him
back
