2008 Kagee Exhibit “Modest Wishes” evening to 22:00 8/5-6/2007 at Motoyasu Bridge

We began to prepare for the Kagee exhibit from 15:00 August 5 this year as well. The students from Johoku Senior High School joined to help us.

This is just what it looks as approaching evening darkness.
The windows made by local people look beautiful. Many walkers stopped and watched them.
Motoyasu Bridge toward daybreak. This year we made the box sheet. This shows how the sheet was partially used to cover the box.
The sheet covers the box from 9:00 to 16:00 until the peace ceremony is over. It gets started again in the evening. The picture shows my aunt from Fukuoka every year and father from Kamakura for the first time.
Lots of children came to see the exhibit. The works made by Keins Kindergarten pupils were presented this year. Two out of three works were displayed due to limit of the windows. When the pupil missing its picture says “ I see no Kagee of mine”, I had to swap the picture behind the scenes.
The area was full of visitors all the times along with Toro-nagashi.
Occasionally the elderly were explaining about the Kagee scenes to small kids.

Jazz charity live by Yoshiko Matsui was performed this year. The donations will be utilized for the filters the children in Hiroshima use.
