Hiroshima “Modest Wishes” Kagee Exhibition 2008 theme〔Living〕

There are people who lost families and houses,　and damaged themselves. They have strongly survived the burned-out fields. Imagine how current people like us could behave the same. What kind of hope made them survive. This was how I began interviewing in an attempt to make its bright sides into Kagee(shadow pictures). However, I acknowledged that the more interviews are made, the more complex it gets.　I could not afford feeling a touch of hope. There are many who suffer and pain now in the current moment. Despite those agonies, they were encouraged by something that gives them energy to live. I valued afresh the vitality of human beings through the theme this year.
